Beth Mulligan, PA-C
Beth Mulligan is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who received her medical
education at Duke University. She has practiced medicine in a variety of settings
since 1982. She also has an extensive background in Meditation, Yoga and Mindfulness.
In 1999 she encountered a program designed to combine her two fields of interest,
called Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction known world wide as MBSR. She has completed
all available trainings in this program with Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn (Founder of MBSR
at U Mass Medical School), and is a certified instructor.
Hugh O’Neill received his college education in Dublin, Ireland, and has
studied and practiced meditation and Yoga for more than 20 years. He combines his
many years of creative management experience in media and industry with his intensive
training in Mindfulness Meditation programs. He has trained in Mindfulness Based
Stress Reduction with its originators, Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD and Dr. Saki Santorelli.
He is co-owner of Mindful-Way Stress Reduction Programs and has been teaching MBSR
for 9 years with Beth Mulligan, PA-C.
Together they currently teach MBSR at The Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine
at UC Irvine, and are co-founders of Mindful-Way Stress Reduction which offers programs
at multiple Medical Centers, Universities, Corporations and Non-Profit Organizations.
They are featured speakers at many Wellness Conferences, and they lecture widely
on Stress Physiology and Stress Reduction for the general public and professionals.
